Based near Manchester, Polyflor began initially as James Halstead Ltd in 1915. James Halstead developed a procedure whereby woven cotton textiles were dyed and waterproofed in a precursor to present day Vinyl.
Providing a range of homogeneous vinyl floorings which are economical, durable and available in a wide variety of traditional duotone marbleised and contemporary effects, a top finishing polyurethane protection provides easy care and longevity. Installation is possible over underfloor heating. 100% recyclable, 25% of the Polyflor flooring is derived from recycled materials, low VOC emissions and slip resistance as standard. Polyflor has in this range designed an extensive range of vinyl flooring to suit hard wearing practicalities of commercial and industrial needs. XL PU and Standard XL homogeneous are advised for anticipated particularly heavy traffic.
Featuring use of safety aggregates to increase slip resistance and traction, Polyflor’s Safety flooring range is extensive and durable for the commercial and residential environment. Available in wood and stone effect vinyl providing classic flooring with slip resistant capability, scoring >36 Pendulum Test Value PTV. With an emphasis on contemporary wooden flooring, Bloc Pur, Polyflor’s heteregenous vinyl range focuses exclusively on bold colours. Offered as standard are slip resistance, a polyurethane reinforced layer (PUR), some designs also come with acoustic reduction level of 19dB.
